Pepsi announces the introduction of a special edition series of labels for the most popular Jamaican beverage TING, featuring Jamaica’s Olympic Gold medal winning athlete, Aleen Bailey. A part of the proceeds from the sale of TING with the Aleen Bailey labels will go to two of Bailey’s favourite causes, Addiction Alert and her alma mater, Vere Technical High School.
Commenting on the initiative, Pepsi’s Marketing Director John Burrowes said “We are pleased to be able to do this project with Aleen in support of two very worthy causes. Aleen Bailey and TING are a natural partnership since, besides the obvious that both have won gold medals in their respective categories, Aleen and TING enjoy immense popularity among Jamaicans at home and abroad. All Jamaicans share the same sense of pride for Aleen and TING, two great products ofJamaica.”
Aleen said, “I am thrilled to be associated with TING in this project. And as a very proud “Vere Girl”, I am always looking for ways to assist that wonderful institution, because it played such a huge part in who I am today. I also chose to include Addiction Alert as a beneficiary of this project because of the outstanding work they do with the young people of this country.”
Addiction Alert is very pleased to have been chosen by Aleen Bailey and Ting. Addiction Alert, under the new name of RISE Life Management Services, aims to educate and empower over 400 at-risk youth and their family members each year. This project with Aleen and Ting will help us to achieve our goal of providing opportunities that will facilitate positive behaviour change according to our slogan “Changing lives for the better”.
There are four versions of the TING label for each of the varieties of TING that are available on the market. Each label features a different photo of Aleen. TING is available in 284ml glass bottles, 591ml PET and the 2L bottle. dietTING is available in 591ml PET bottles. Burrowes also suggested that these labels would be great collectables for Aleen’s fans.
TING with the Special Edition Aleen Bailey labels will be available islandwide whereever TING is sold starting early July.
